Our Commitment

We will, under normal circumstances, fulfil all orders within 48 hours of receiving an order. We will only knowingly charge you for items dispatched to you, in your agreement.

Confirmation of order

Your order will be confirmed by email normally within 3 hours, but not longer than 24 hours, of receipt of your order over the Internet.

Cancellation of order prior to dispatch

You have the right to cancel an order within 24 hours of placing an order. This can be done by email, or telephone.

Specifications and Information

Goods are supplied to the company’s standard specifications. We will endeavour to supply as much product and application data as possible, but Exled is unable to assess the viability or suitability of every possible application of the goods; it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the goods ordered are suitable for the application in which they intend to use them. Please note exact colours and finishes are difficult to reproduce accurately on websites and printed materials, and that customers should not place undue reliance upon such reproductions.

Consistent Colour Rendition

LEDs have slight variances in colour by manufacturing batch. In situations where exact colour matching is vital, customers must specifically request that all items are supplied from the same batch (or 50m roll in the case of rope light), otherwise colour match cannot be guaranteed. If there is a possibility that an application may require further quantities of the same product it is highly recommended that extra stock is ordered with the initial order as colour match cannot be guaranteed at a later date. It is also advisable to order ‘standby’ stock to cover replacements when necessary.

Guarantee and Product Reliability

EXLED LED Lighting products are highly reliable. However, just as light bulbs and fluorescent tubes cannot be guaranteed because the conditions under which they are used cannot be controlled, we are unable to offer guarantees on LED lamps and LED rope light products installed by customers.

LED rope light has a complex internal wiring matrix and frequent handling of the product may cause breakages inside the rope, leading to failure of sections of the rope. Because of this we recommend that Exled LED rope is fixed in place securely and not repeatedly moved, coiled and uncoiled etc.

All EXLED products are fully tested before shipping. Products that fail after 28 days will be replaced at our discretion, only after examination in our workshops.

Limitation of Liability

The Purchaser will be responsible for ensuring the fitness for purpose of the goods for the purchaser’s application. To the extent permitted by law, Exled accepts no liability arising in respect of loss, damage or expense arising from errors in information or advice provided where or not due to Exled’s negligence or that of its employees, agents or sub-contractors, save for any loss or damage arising from death or personal injury.

Exled shall not be liable to the Purchaser by reason of any representation (unless deliberately fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the expressed terms of any contract with the Purchaser, for any indirect or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever (whether caused by the negligence of Exled, its employees or agents) which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the goods or their use or resale by the Purchaser.

The invalidity, illegality or unenforceability of any term or condition of this Agreement shall not affect the validity, legality or enforceability of any other term or condition of this Agreement.

The entire liability of Exled under or in connection with any contract with the Purchaser shall not exceed the price of the goods or services.

Returns

Items should be checked as soon as possible following receipt of goods. Claims will not be accepted for damages, shortages or packing errors unless they are reported within 48 hours of receipt.

To return goods for any reason please call 01453 756361 or email sales@exled.co.uk to request a returns authorisation number, which should be displayed on the parcel. Goods without a returns authorisation number will not be accepted. A full description of the fault/reason for return should be included in the parcel. All returns should be shipped via a traceable method.

The decision of whether a refund is given will be made by Exled Ltd. The cost of any items found to be damaged in transit, or missing, will be refunded to you within 30 working days of us receiving the items back.

PLEASE NOTE: EXLED-Rope lights: Lengths cut to order cannot be accepted for refunds unless agreed prior to dispatch. Where we do agree to accept returns a 25% handling charge will be applied.

Installation

A ‘competent person’ must install all items requiring electrical wiring work. The mains supply must always be isolated prior to installation. The overall electrical installation must conform to the relevant regulations.

Disposal (WEEE) – Commercial Sales

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive applies to all the products sold by Exled Ltd. It is a requirement of the directive that all such items are disposed of in a responsible manner. For commercial sales in the UK this means they should be taken to a Designated Collection Facility from where they will be recycled.

The B2B end user is responsible for all liabilities regarding the environmentally sound disposal of this EEE when it is discarded as WEEE.

The producer may, for commercial reasons only, offer a take back option when a B2B end user is purchasing a new product, however, this will be decided on a case by case basis and may incur a charge.

Disposal (WEEE) – Household Sales

Recycling facilities are now available for all customers at which you can deposit your old electrical products. This is a new requirement under UK and European legislation (The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment – or WEEE – Directive).

The aim of the legislation is to:

i) Make good use of the materials that make up old electrical equipment by recycling rather than disposing in landfill.
ii) Prevent the negative environmental effects of sending, often hazardous, electrical equipment to landfill.
As a conscientious business, we have chosen to group together with other retailers in joining the ‘Distributor Take Back Scheme’. Through this scheme we have paid toward the provision of improved recycling facilities for our customers.
Customers will be able to take any old electrical equipment to participating civic amenity sites (often known as ‘household waste recycling centres’) run by their local councils. Remember that this equipment will be further handled during the recycling process, so please be sure to remove any non-electrical product.

Under the UK regulations, funding collected through the Distributor Take Back Scheme has been distributed between all Local Authorities in the UK to ensure the provision of improved recycling facilities. Producers of these products will then ensure that deposited items are taken away and recycled.

To remind you of the availability of these facilities and the importance of recycling, all new electrical equipment or packaging is now marked with a crossed out wheeled bin symbol.

Wherever practical, electrical waste should not be disposed of with your household waste. You can locate your closest participating CA site at: www.recycle-more.co.uk(remember to have your postcode to hand).

Order Cancellation following delivery

If you wish to cancel an order for any item you are very welcome to return them to us within 7 working days from the day after the day that you received the goods. Items will only be accepted if they are a) unused and b) in the same good condition that they were delivered in. You must obtain a returns authorisation number first. You will be liable for the return costs of delivery and a full refund for the goods only will be made to you within 30 days of cancellation.

P & P will not be refunded if you choose to return the items that are not faulty or incorrect to order.

*This complies with the new European Directive on distance selling which is incorporated into UK law by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

Complaints Procedure

Any query or complaint will be dealt with immediately. It will be acknowledged within 24hours and resolved within this time frame whenever possible, but not longer than 5 working days. Please call on 01453 756361or email sales@exled.co.uk

Delivery

We send our orders out in good faith with TNT, however we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen delays encountered by TNT.

If Items go missing in the post, TNT terms and conditions state “No claims can be made until 7 days has passed from the date of posting”, after the 7 days has elapsed we will send another order and make a claim at the post office, the second order will be marked “2nd Order” just in case the first one turns up.

Errors

While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of images, specifications and information on this website, these are subject to change without notice. As such we cannot accept any responsibility for errors on the site.

In the event an item is listed at the incorrect price, we have the right to refuse or cancel orders based on the incorrect price, whether or not the order has been confirmed.

If you do notice any mistakes then please let us know.

Force Majeure

No liability will be accepted by Exled for any failure or delay in performance which is wholly or partially due to an Act of God, War, Fire, Explosion, Riot, Civil Commotion, Restriction by Government or other competent authority, Strikes, Lock Outs, Failure in supplies or to any cause whatsoever beyond our control.

Payment & Receipts

Payment is made via credit or debit cards, subject to authority from the card issuer. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch, Maestro and Solo.

We will charge your account within 48 hours of the day of dispatch and an invoice will be sent separately.

Value Added Tax

VAT is added to all UK and EU Orders @ 20%. Our VAT Number is 850 5672 21.

Delivery Fee

Delivery is charged for all items. This normally £15, but can be more if going abroad or is being sent on a pallet.

Retention of Title

All goods remain the property of Exled ltd. until paid for in full.

Our rights

We reserve the right to change, modify, substitute or remove without notice, any information on this website. Prices, goods and availability of products are subject to change at any time. Exled also reserves the right to withdraw its service at any time, to refuse the service to any customer and to amend these Terms & Conditions, all at any time without notice.

We have the right to refuse, at our discretion, to supply goods ordered on this website.

Applicable Law

These conditions shall be construed according to and governed by English Law.

None of our Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
